One morning, however, we decided to rest a bit, and came down for a later meal. One note: Most mornings we were up early and enjoyed the in-house breakfast offerings. Our room was a comfortable retreat while checking out the wonderous surrounding natural (and man-made) features. Our check-in was efficient and welcoming with most staff being friendly and attentive throughout our stay. The facility is clean and well-maintained with the typical HGI decor and design. We stayed here for 5 nights, while exploring the area.

Other than this one exception, our other breakfasts were fine and our overall experience with this facility was quite satisfying. We would suggest if the staff wants to leave at 10 am, they advertise the breakfast ends at 9:30 am. What we had expected to be a leisurely breakfast, ended up being an obvious annoyance to staff wanting to leave. (We were not the last couple there as we watched another couple still trying to find items,as they hadn't paid attention to the disappearing buffet.) When they finally arrived, we were told the delay was due to having to brew a fresh pot since they had already emptied all the coffee makers. She then came by our table, literally every 3 to 4 minutes, checking if we were done with a plate, cup, glass or utensil.Īt 9:50 am we requested refills on our coffees. When we asked about the breakfast going until 10 am our server responded by saying 'I'll stay as long as I have to'. We ordered our eggs at 9:25 am and when they were delivered at about 9:40 am, we were asked if we wanted anything else, since they were taking down the buffet.
